What is a lucky friend?
When it comes to the word “lucky” in the Pokemon GO app, players understand that a lucky Pokemon is a Pokemon that has wonderful stats and IV. But when it comes to lucky friend, what would it be?
Pokemon GO lucky friend was added when the news of the Chicago PokeFest was first announced. The system currently stops after you become Best Friend with someone, but now there is one more step. Previously, players would have stop exchanging gifts after they had reached the Best Friend status in Pokemon GO app. But now, there is no reason to stop. The lucky friend update has been released for quite a while, and some players might still be confused about what lucky friend does in the game.
Players are aware that there are five Friendship Level milestones in the Pokemon GO app: Friends, Good Friends, Great Friends, Ultra Friends and Best Friends. But do you know that each level takes time to be achieved and it will not increase if you do not have any interaction with your friend. As you battle, trade, send gifts, gym raid and complete other interactions with a friend, you’ll reach Friendship Level milestones and unlock extra bonuses such as a Battle Boost or extra Premiere Balls in raids or cheaper stardust used for trade. The Friendship Level milestones can be achieved via daily interaction for a specific amount of time as listed:
Good Friends – 1 Day
Great Friends – 7 Days
Ultra Friends – 30 Days
Best Friends – 90 Days
Players are already reached the Friends status once you accepted their friend requests. However, the new tier to the friendship level is unlocked by luck.
Yes. I did mentioned the word “luck”. You simply need to continue trading Pokemon with your Best Friends and one of the times will upgrade your friendship to Lucky Friends. What about the bonus? Well, the next time you trade a Pokemon while remaining in a Lucky Friends status will have a guaranteed Lucky Pokemon. Once you had reached Lucky Friends, it is wise to trade a legendary Pokemon so that you may guaranteed high stats and excellent IV Pokemon in return.
Bear in mind that once you had trade while remaining in Lucky Friends, you will be returning to Best Friends once the trade is over and had to continue trading until the next Lucky Friends is achieved.
