The Pokemon Company had just announced Pokemon Sleep during a press conference in Tokyo earlier today.
According to Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of the Pokemon Company, Pokemon Sleep will "turn sleeping into entertainment", much in the same way that Pokemon GO turned walking into entertainment.
The game is set to release in 2020 and will work with the device - Pokemon Go Plus Plus. This is not a joke, the name is actually real. This device will help track your sleep and monitor sleep patterns.
The Pokemon Go Plus Plus or "Pokemon Go Plus +" will also continue to be used like a regular Pokemon Go Plus during the day. But it will connect to your phone via Bluetooth to send your sleep data through the night. Basically, Pokemon Go Plus Plus is adding the type of functionality you tend to get with most smartwatches.
Besides that, Pokemon Home is also introduced at the press conference. Pokemon Home is a cloud service that will work with Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices, allowing your to bring over the Pokemon that you shared adventures with throughout your journey. It is also isn't tied to a single game system, meaning you can connect with Pokemon Bank, along with Pokemon Let's Go, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pokemon GO. It also features trading functionality.
