The company that created the Pokemon GO app does not only provide players with an augmented reality in-game experience, but also held some of the major real-world events such as the Pokemon GO Fest and Pokemon GO Safari Zones. However, attendance at these events is limited in order to maintain the best gameplay experience possible. To attend one of these events, players need to register for a ticket through the in-app ticketing system, which is recently launched by Niantic.
To give everyone a fair chance, Trainers must first enter a drawing contest for a chance of purchasing the tickets. After the drawing ends, randomly selected winners will have 48 hours to complete the registration and purchase tickets. This procedure will be repeated until all tickets are sold. Take note that all event tickets are final. Refunds and transfers are not accepted.
How to Enter Drawing?
Open the Pokemon GO app.
In the app menu, select the main menu. (Poke ball icon)
On the right side, touch the event option.
All available upcoming live events will be listed in ascending order.
Events that are open for drawing entries are labeled as “Enter Drawing”. Select the event to begin drawing process.
Confirm your email and tap on “Enter Drawing”. The email address used is not necessarily to be the one connected with the Pokemon GO app. As long as the email selected is accessible will be acceptable. Each Pokemon GO account can only submit one email address. Note that no confirmation email will be received upon entering the drawing.
How to Claim Tickets?
Winners will receive a notification email if they are selected in the drawing. The email will also state the deadline for the winners to complete the purchase (listed in GMT time), which will be 48 hours after being selected. Trainers will not get an email if they were not selected.
After receiving the email, return to the event menu in the Pokemon GO app and select the particular event. The following page will now show a “Claim Tickets” button. Click on the button to begin registration.
Choose the event date, time and quantity of tickets that you would like to purchase. Note that only one date and ticket type can be chosen for the entire order.
Assign any extra tickets to other Trainers.
Review your order and agree to Niantic Terms of Service and complete your payment (if necessary).
Once the purchase is completed, you will receive a confirmation email.
How to Reserve Tickets For Other Trainers?
Note: Only applicable for orders with 2+ tickets
Input the trainer nicknames from your friends list that you would like to purchase the tickets for (one name per input box) and click “Add”. Make sure that the spelling is correct and you must be at least Great Friends with the other trainer.
You must assign the entire quantity of tickets that you selected to eligible friends before you can proceed to payment. Your friends will receive the same ticket type for the date and time you selected.
Trainers can now enter a drawing to purchase tickets for Pokemon GO Fest in Chicago until April 24 at 7:00 a.m. PDT. You can pick any date from June 13 to June 16 if you are selected to purchase the tickets. But do remember that only one date can be chosen for each Pokemon GO account.
