Marvel Announced Phase 4 Plans

The second top worldwide box office, Avengers: Endgame and July's Spider-Man: Far From Home mark the end of Phase 3 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is no official announcement on the following Marvel Studios' projects and fans are wondering how long do they have to wait for Phase 4 since the Infinity Saga has ended.

A bit longer than people are used to.

Marvel Studio has been releasing at least two movies per year and three starting from 2017. Disney today announced the next several years of movie premiere dates, which including another Star Wars trilogy, Avatar sequel, a new Indiana Jones film, live-action Disney remakes, Pixar movies, Bob's Burger (formerly belongs to Fox), and the next untitled Marvel film is not expected to hit theaters until May 2020. That is about 10 months after Spider-Man: Far From Home released.

Following the untitled Marvel film in May 2020, Disney will release three MCU films a year:

  1. May 1, 2020

  2. November 6, 2020

  3. February 12, 2021

  4. May 7, 2021

  5. November 5, 2021

  6. February 18, 2022

  7. May 6, 2022

  8. July 29, 2022

Marvel Studios' president and the mastermind of the MCU, Kevin Feige has made it clear that we won't get many details on Phase 4 until Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out. Based on casting rumors and other statements, the untitled Marvel films could involve a stand-alone Black Widow movie, The Eternals, Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Shang-Chi.
