SpaceX Targeting May 23 For Falcon 9 Launch

Today, SpaceX had announced that the next Falcon 9 launch attempt is scheduled for May 23, Thursday night.

Last week, the company had delayed the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket for two consecutive nights after a high upper wind and satellite software update scrubbed the launch at the last minute of the countdown.

SpaceX 90-minute launch window opens at 10:30 p.m. EDT (Friday 10:30 a.m. GMT+8) and there is a 90 percent chance of favorable weather, according to the US Air Force 45th Weather Squadron.

The Falcon 9 rocket will launch the first badge of the 60 Starlink satellites mounted on top of the Falcon 9 rocket. The Starlink satellites will be the first 60 spacecraft for SpaceX's planned global broadband network, which aims to beam high-speed internet signals around the world from space.

A live coverage of the launch will be available on the company webcast. Live coverage of the launch will begins 15 minutes prior to launch, and will also be available on this page.
