SpaceX Is Set For Falcon 9 And 60 Starlink Satellites Launch

After the successful hot fire test of the Falcon 9 rocket on Monday, SpaceX is still on track to launch the Falcon 9 rocket carrying 60 Starlink satellites into orbit today at 10:30 p.m. EDT (Thursday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. GMT+8) from Cape Canaveral. Starlink is the company's privately funded Internet broadband network, inaugurating a new orbiting fleet beaming Internet signals from space.

Forecasters from the US Air Force 45th Weather Squadron are predicting an 80 percent chance of favorable weather for liftoff of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday night. The 90 minute launch window opens at 10:30 p.m. (Thursday 10:30 a.m. GMT+8).
