Microsoft's May Update Won't Work On PCs With Plugged In USB Storage or SD Cards

Windows 10 users are well aware that the previous Microsoft update [April 10] had caused desktop freeze screen on users' PCs during boot up. While most of us was annoyed by this problem, Microsoft had promised a new Windows update coming in May.

Don't be too excited for it yet.

Microsoft had recently notified its users that the May Windows 10 update won't install on PCs using USB storage or SD cards. The company says that the PCs will stop installing the update because of "inappropriate drive reassignment" might occur and impact both internal and external hard drives. But that doesn't mean that you can't update your Windows 10 for sure. By removing both USB storage or SD cards, you are able to update your Windows by restarting the PCs. Microsoft also says that they will resolve the glitch before future updates.
